Ken Matticks has practiced law for more than four decades, concentrating his practice on intellectual property law (patents, trademarks and copyrights) and legal matters involving technology. He has been lead counsel in federal cases from Washington to Georgia, Ohio to Texas on patent infringement, trademark infringement and unfair competition. He is also a frequent lecturer on intellectual property issues.
In addition to practicing in state and federal courts, Ken is a mediator and mediator-trainer; he has mediated more than a hundred cases including family, commercial and technology disputes, and has trained mediators in Texas, Mississippi and Georgia.
Ken is active in his church both at a local and national level. He is a regular contributor to Forward in Christ magazine and has written for many other publications. He is married to Jerra Lynn Matticks, a retired nurse, and has two grown children and nine children who consider him their “Poppy”. Ken and Jerra make their home in Midland.
