Jeffrey D. Hewett Bio

Jeffrey Hewett handles a wide range of cases for financial institutions and oil and gas companies at LC&A, helping clients clarify and understand the legal issues that come with involvement in the energy industry. Mr. Hewett specializes in transactional law, including examining public and private documentation; drafting and publishing of title opinions; representing clients in mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions involving the purchase and sale of oil and gas properties; consulting with regard to day-to-day oil and gas property operation; counseling landowners about the impact of leasing the mineral estates on their properties; and negotiating and documenting energy lending transactions, primarily on behalf of financial institutions.

Originally from Kansas, Mr. Hewett has called Midland home for more than forty years. He is a former partner in the Midland office of Hinkle, Cox, Eaton, Coffield & Hensley and has been a shareholder of LC&A since 1997.  Over the last four decades, Jeffrey has remained actively involved in the Midland community, serving on boards of directors or trustees for several area nonprofits and organizations.
